AMCO NEWS Vol. XXVI No. 3 Adams-MiHis Corporation July-August, 1968 THREE NAMED SUPERINTENDENTS Tuttle Eddinger Williard Charles Tuttle, superintendent of the ladies' hosiery division of the English Road plant in High Point, will head the newly constructed Adams- Millis plant in Edmond, Oklahoma. Operations in the Oklahoma plant, which will be engaged in the produc tion of ladies' hosiery, are scheduled to begin in September. W. L. Von- cannon, director of manufacturing and production for the ladies' hosiery division, has named departmental superintendents to assume the pres ent duties of Tuttle. Claude Eddinger, pairing super visor, has been named superintendent of the finishing department; Donald Williard, knitting supervisor, has become superintendent of the greige goods department. Eddinger was employed in the folding department of Plant 7 in Sep tember of 1946, shortly after his graduation from Pilot High School near Thomasville. In the twenty-two years following, Claude has worked in every department of the finishing plant. Prior to entering service with the United States Marines in 1951, he had worked in the shipping department for two years and was supervisor of the pairing department for one year. Eddinger returned from service in December of 1952 and was made supervisor of the boarding department and in 1964, was transferred to the pairing department. Donald Williard, after completing his freshman year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, first worked as a timekeeper in the board ing department of Plant 4 in Kerners- ville. In December of 1935, Dewitt Winfree, who was with Vance Knitting Company in Kernersville, offered Williard a job learning to knit. Win- free is now knitting supervisor for the Adams-Millis ladies' hosiery divi sion. After three months in the kpitting department at Vance, Williard was { Cont'd. on page 4)
